Let me first off preface this post, and future ones as well, with a small insight. I am in no way a writer (Sheryl is a much better writer). My High School’s English classes/writings/ grades, well…….. sucked! I hated it. Possibly, if I payed more attention rather than screwing off, I would have done better. My College English grades reflect that I did improve a little. My papers did not bleed red ink physically or digitally from corrections from my teachers, so I guess I did something right. I am looking forward to writing these posts in the hopes of enjoyment by all, and improvement in my overall writing skills. So be gentle when critiquing ………
Today is the day Sheryl and I created, Life On Tap – Unfiltered the Podcast, Website/Blog. After talking about creating a Podcast for a while, we finally moved forward with the idea. The Podcast idea was something I had been toying with for some time now. I was looking for something out of my comfort zone and also something new to me. I was kind of surprised that Sheryl was totally on board with this idea. The “yes I’m in” was huge in my eyes. The thought of being able to experience this new adventure together is so exciting. I am sure some people would say “your married, you already do stuff together. Why add one more thing?” Honestly, I really enjoy doing things with her.
We are now off and walking slowly (not running). We decided together to create a Website/Blog and Podcast (same name) where we can talk, argue, laugh and hopefully not cry. I feel our lives have seen and done quite a lot. We want to share our Air Force moves from state to state and also our adventures (making memories) together with family and friends. We will share my Star Wars nerdness and Sheryl’s borderline psychotic moments when it comes to UNCC Men’s Basketball. (So watch out when March Madness happens, just saying.) Broad range of local and world topics will be shared as well. I know these don’t fit the cookie cutter Podcast formats but we want to do what comes naturally and organically to us. Over time, we may evolve towards a more defined category or genre. We will take advice from friends or you the reader/listener to figure out any changes in the future. But there is only one way to find out. Just Do It.
Will anyone read these posts or listen to the Podcast? Only time will tell.
Wish us luck and thank you for stopping by.
Chris & Sheryl
